PM Krivokapić meets the chairman of the EP delegation to the EU-Montenegro SAPC

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić today met the European Parliament delegation to the EU-Montenegro Parliamentary Stabilization and Association Committee (SAPC), chaired by the chair of the delegation Vladimír Bilčík.

Prime Minister Krivokapić said Montenegro remains fully committed to the European path, with the intention of being the next full member of the European Union. He reaffirmed the will of the government to promote and implement in a more decisive and committed way European practices and values ​​in Montenegrin institutions and in society in general.

Krivokapić stressed that the government, taking into account the last EC report, has already prepared an initial action plan, so the next report would be incomparably better.

Within the framework of regional cooperation, Prime Minister Krivokapić described the visit to Serbia as extremely successful. He stressed that the two sides focused on economic issues, as well as issues in the area of ​​infrastructure projects, education, culture and digital transformation.

The chairman of the delegation, Vladimír Bilčík, said he had come with a clear message that the European Parliament is ready to support all of Montenegro’s measures aimed at achieving its European goal.

One of the reasons for our visit is to support Montenegro’s European path, especially with regard to internal reforms and inclusive political dialogue in Montenegro, Bilčík said.

Bilčík underlined that the government of Montenegro can count on the support and assistance of the EU institutions to solve any potential problems on the way to accession.
